Rosheen Kaul (Etta) and Eka Poedijono will share the art of being pedas (spicy) and demonstrate the art of making sambal at Julie.
Sambal is one of Indonesia?s main condiments with hundreds of variations on the chilli-based sauce, each with unique ingredients, techniques and recipes. In this workshop, the two chefs will prepare two sambals while sharing their knowledge about the context, composition and complexity of the condiment.
Following the demonstration, Lorcan Kan (Things Palace) will be serving dinner showcasing the different ways sambal is used in cooking and the different ways to enjoy it.
