If you have ever spent time with the Clancey family, you quickly realise food is everything. For these farmers from Cork, in southern Ireland, growing, cooking and eating is a way of life. So, as it trickles down generations and Basalt Vineyard celebrates 20 years of growing grapes in the Port Fairy Region, we thought we would come together for the Port Fairy Winter Weekend in June 2024, for a family-style feast in the beautiful Basalt Cellar Door.

The menu will feature homemade bread and pasta, vegetables from local growers, small herd butcheries from the area and something sweet to finish utilising some home-grown Basalt produce. The event will be centred around seasonality and sharing, celebrating a family dining style, with courses rolling slowly for more conversation at the table.
